When a message feels impossible to read, pause before looking for a full solution. Message From Aliens builds meaning gradually: the first number puzzles give you a small set of symbols you can test against later messages.

Start with the numbers

Write each equation from Chapter 1 in your notes. Mark symbols that repeat, then test a possible value against more than one equation. If a guess works only once, keep it tentative. Our Chapter 1 guide explains this process in more detail.

Compare glyphs in context

Look for a glyph that appears in similar positions in several messages. Compare what changes around it before assigning a meaning. The in-game dictionary uses the alien language too, so treat its entries as more examples rather than instant translations.

Choose your hint level
